Discover the magic of the Wieliczka underworld, the only mine operating uninterruptedly since the Middle Ages.
As you descend the 380 steps into the depths of the salt mine you get the impression that you are entering a magical underground city full of mysterious grottos and subterranean lakes. As you walk along the 3.5-kilometre route you will be able to admire original appliances and mining equipment as well as chapels forged out of salt, including the largest and most beautiful of them all – the Chapel of St. Kinga, the patron saint of salt miners. This subterranean church is richly adorned with candelabras, sculptures and figures of saints carved in salt.  You return to the surface via the lift in the Danilowicz shaft, which is another attractive part of the mine.

Lernen Sie die Magie der Unterwelt von Wieliczka kennen, des einzigen Bergwerks, das seit dem Mittelalter ununterbrochen in Betrieb ist.  Wenn man über die 380 Treppenstufen in die Tiefe des Salzbergwerks hinabsteigt, kann man meinen, dass man eine magische unterirdische Stadt voller geheimnisvoller Grotten und unterirdischer Seen betritt. Auf der 3,5 Kilometer langen Besichtigungsstrecke sind originale Grubenanlagen und -werkzeuge zu bewundern sowie in Salz gehauene Kapellen, darunter die größte und schönste: die der Schutzheiligen der Bergleute geweihte Kunigundenkapelle. Diese unterirdische Kirche ist reich geschmückt mit Kronleuchtern, Skulpturen und Heiligenfiguren aus Salz. Die Auffahrt ans Tageslicht erfolgt über den Aufzug im Schacht „Daniłowicz“, was eine zusätzliche Attraktion für die Besucher darstellt.

 

La Mina de Sal de Wieliczka (Spanish speaking guides)

Conozca la magia de las galerías subterráneas de Wieliczka, la única mina que sigue funcionando desde la Edad Media.  Bajando los 380 escalones que llevan al fondo de la mina, tenemos la impresión de llegar a una enorme ciudad subterránea llena de grandes grutas y lagos. Siguiendo la ruta de 3,5 Km. admiramos los auténticos utensilios e instalaciones de los antiguos mineros y sus capillas esculpidas en sal, incluyendo la más grande y la más bella capilla de Santa Kinga, la patrona de los mineros de sal. La decoración de esa iglesia subterránea es muy rica, la adornan numerosas arañas de luces, esculturas y figuras de santos, todas hechas en sal. Para volver a la superficie utilizamos un ascensor antiguo situado en el pozo de Daniłowicz, lo cual es un aliciente más de la visita.

Conosci la magia dei sotterranei di Wieliczka, l’unica miniera interrottamente in servizio, a partire dal Medioevo.
Scendendo i 380 gradini giu` nella miniera di sale, si ha impressione di adentrarci in una città sotterranea magica, pienna di grotte segrete e laghi sotterranei. Camminando lungo il percorso di 3,5 chilometri si possono ammirare le attrezzature originali, attrezzi di minatori e cappelle scolpite nel sale, tra cui quella piu` grande e piu` bella, dedicata a Santa Kinga, la patrona dei minatori di sale. In quella chiesa sotterranea si trovano lampadari, sculture e figure dei Santi scolpite nel sale. Si ritorna in superficie con l’ascensore con il pozzo di Danilowicz - un’altra attrazione per i visitatori.

Этот подземный храм богато украшен люстрами, скульптурами и фигурами святых, высеченными из соли. Подъём на лифте из шахты по стволу Даниловича на поверхность, является дополнительной аттракцией для посетителей.
